Kaffe · a free, private bookshelf
A free book club app for friends
Small book clubs don't need a big platform. They need a place to see what everyone has read, what everyone wants to read next, and what people thought. Kaffe does that for free, without ads and without asking members for an email address.
Start a circle for your club and send its link to the members. Each person signs up with a name and a password, adds the books they've finished, and chooses whether to share their shelf with the club's circle. Nobody outside the circle can find it, because Kaffe has no user search and nothing is public by default.
Your reading circle page shows books that are on two or more members' to-read or currently-reading shelves, most wanted first. That's an easy way to pick the next club book. You can also build a shared list together, start a readalong in a private circle where each member sets their own progress, and compare your shelf with one friend.
On each book, members can leave a star rating and a short note (up to 280 characters) that the circle sees. Kaffe works in the browser on phones and computers, so members don't need to install anything.
Start your own reading circle: free, with just a name and a password. No email, no ads.
